On the second day of the ongoing Uttar Pradesh Climate Change Conclave-2021 at Indira Gandhi Foundation, spiritual leader Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar virtually joined and gave many important suggestions to control climate change. He said that control of climate change is possible only when the plantation is done in a systematic manner and plastic is prevented from burning. Controlling climate change is possible only through joint efforts. Agriculture is the backbone of human existence. For any civilization to prosper, agriculture has to be healthy and sustainable. There is an urgent need to adapt chemical-free organic farming in our country. He said that in the Hindu culture, sowing and planting seeds before any new establishment is not only considered auspicious for the success and prosperity of that establishment but also contributes to climate change mitigation.

3kW SOLAR ROOFTOP =3,700 TREE
Additional chief secretary, department of environment, forest & climate change, Manoj Singh said that Solar rooftop is the most important thing in Uttar Pradesh. If you install a solar rooftop of 3 kW, then it is equal to 3,700 trees. Further, he told some of the ways that can help us to reduce carbon emission. He said that our entire Maharashtra is filled with basalt rock. If we break down basalt rock and mix it with sawdust in our agricultural soil, we can reduce 1 billion carbon emissions.
New paths, new decisions, and new thinking are needed to make this world a better place to live in, for our next generation. Commendable work had been done by the Yogi government since 2017, be it plantation or cleaning rivers. He requested to submit a detailed set of recommendations by experts during this two-day conclave.- Hon'ble, Shri Faggan Singh Kulaste, Union Minister of State for Steel & Rural Development
Climate change mitigation and adaption actions are undeniably important to reduce carbon emission while meeting the target to limit the temperature at 2 degrees C. India's commitment to mitigation and adaptation actions have led to landmark achievements. Funding for new efforts aimed at combating climate change is not a problem. He said that we have to help such companies who want to become pollution free of their own accord."
