Being a photographer just means you really love photography. Photography changes the way you see things. It’s actually quite an incredible transformation to experience, says Arun Pillai, a Bhopal based professional photographer. Telling about his Photography journey he said, " I have learnt photographic skills through YouTube and different websites. I started clicking pictures as a photographer in 2016 with my smartphone. I focused on the basics of photography for 5 months. Where I experienced that everything around us looks different when you start to see the world as a photographer. It is something you get immersed in. You lose yourself in shooting, and all your worries and daily stresses just melt away. So after 6 months I bought a DSLR camera and started professional photography. It lets you express yourself, your opinions and beliefs. Meanwhile I learnt that the deeper you get, the more you realize that it’s all about what you are interested in, how you feel about it, and what you want to say to the people who view your work. As you shoot, you learn more about yourself, what you value, and how you see the world. I love clicking streets, wild life and historical monuments.
I love clicking the aesthetic beauty of the outside of a monument. When my clicked picture of Shaurya Smarak got featured, I got more into this. I started clicking and exploring monuments of the city. As well I try to encapsulate the history of a monument in my pictures. That helps my followers to get through the image deeper. Usually I use to focus on the walls, doors, archways and doors especially because these things hold the true beauty and essence of any monument. The most interesting part in this process is exploring the symmetry of monument and then try clicking it in different perspectives. From this experience I got to know that you can always get the perfect shot of the monument if you will capture it like it's the last time you are getting a chance to capture it.
There is much to explore in wildlife. Nature and her offspring promise plenty of breath-taking moments that many do not have the pleasure of experiencing first-hand.
The best thing about street photography is that it allows us to see and convey the raw human elements through images of people. Without speaking a word, we can discover layers of personality about someone, the external demeanor they display to the world, and if we are lucky, they sometimes, gently let through the hidden parts of themselves.
