With International Women’s Day, the hash tagged theme #BalanceForBetter is quite apt, considering countless speeches from awards shows over the past couple of years called for more thoughtful equality. In fact, this theme isn’t just for the day or the month, but for the whole year and for the whole life. International Women’s day is a celebration of fierce and fearless women, who have put everything on the line to build and grow their businesses and Profession, in pursuit of their passion. The awards are conferred to young women achievers every year to encourage them to develop a sense of responsibility to the community and to improve their personal potential. With so many women going out of their comfort zone and making their mark across Public relation & Media sector, Public relations society of India, Bhopal has organised an Award function in Collaboration with Sabdhani coaching on 8 March,2019. •

आधी आबादी की बात

पब्लिक रिलेशन सोसाइटी भोपाल एवं सबधाणी कोचिंग इंस्टिट्यूट भोपाल की ओर से 8 मार्च को अंतर्राष्ट्रीय महिला दिवस के अवसर पर व्याख्यान और सम्मान समारोह का आयोजन किया गया। मिंटो हॉल में नारी शक्ति को समर्पित इस कार्यक्रम में भोपाल कमिश्नर कल्पना श्रीवास्तव ने "भारत में आधी आबादी के विकास का सफर' विषय पर अपने विचार रखे। उन्होंने कहा कि आधी आबादी ही दुनिया की पूरी आबादी का निर्माण करती है इसलिए इसका सही मायनों में सशक्तिकरण आवश्यक है। कार्यक्रम के विशिष्ट अतिथि एवं मध्य प्रदेश निर्वाचन आयोग के संयुक्त मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी अभिजीत अग्रवाल ने लोकतंत्र एवं महिला मतदाता विषय पर अपने विचार व्यक्त किए। उन्होंने कहा कि मजबूत लोकतंत्र के लिए महिला मतदाता को सक्रिय रूप से मतदान हेतु आगे आना चाहिए। कार्यक्रम के विशिष्ट अतिथि एवं दैनिक भास्कर नागपुर के समूह संपादक प्रकाश दुबे ने लोकतंत्र में मीडिया की भूमिका विषय पर अपनी बात रखी। उन्होंने कहा कि महिलाओं की लोकतंत्र में भागीदारी से लोकतंत्र और मजबूत होगा। कार्यक्रम की विशेष अतिथि एवं भारत सरकार के विदेश मंत्रालय के अंतर्गत भोपाल की क्षेत्रीय पासपोर्ट अधिकारी रश्मि बघेल ने "महिला सशक्तिकरण चुनौतियां और संभावनाएं' विषय पर अपने विचार व्यक्त किए। उन्होंने कहा कि समाज के समुचित विकास के लिए मातृ-पितृ सत्तात्मक समाज चाहिए। कार्यक्रम के विशेष अतिथि एवं मध्य प्रदेश निर्वाचन आयोग के अधिकारी संजीव जैन, वरिष्ठ पत्रकार गिरिजा शंकर, पब्लिक रिलेशन सोसाइटी भोपाल के अध्यक्ष पुष्पेंद्र पाल सिंह एवं सबधाणी कोचिंग संस्थान भोपाल के संचालक आनंद सबधाणी ने भी महिला दिवस के अवसर पर अपने विचार व्यक्त किए।

वर्ष 2019 के लिए अचला सम्मान वंदना श्रोती, प्रीति जैन, रूबी सरकार, पूजा पी वर्धन, बिंदु सुनील, सुनीता दुबे, बबिता मिश्रा और मधुरिमा राजपाल को प्रदान किया गया। उदिता सम्मान 2019 रश्मि प्रजापति खरे, शिल्पा भौमिक, रूचि दीक्षित काशिफ, कोमल शर्मा, प्रियंका जोशी, जाग्रति सोनी, श्रुति तोमर, अनामिका अम्बर, फरज़ाना पटवारी, नमिता शुक्ला, शीतल अटकड़े और मेघा गजभिये को दिया गया।
