Through the lens of SHUTTERBUGS

A three day photography exhibition followed by daily workshops was organized by Bhopal’s largest social media group (Bhopal City Information Portal) in collaboration with Bhopal Camera Club and MP Tourism Board.

Bhopal’s largest social media group (Bhopal City Information Portal) in collaboration with Bhopal Camera Club and MP Tourism Board organized a three day Bhopal Photo Festival Swaraj Bhawan Art Gallery. The exhibition was all about the annual photography award distribution along with a series of workshops on photography. The three day exhibition started from 18 October.

“Heart of India”

For the selected of photographs to be exhibited, an online e-contest was organized. From so many entry 50 photographers click were selected. Later on top 10 photographs were finalized. The result of the online photography competition- “Heart of India” were announced late night on October 17. The winners got cash prizes. This was second major exhibition of Bhopal Camera Club in which more than 150 photographs of more than 50 photographers were displayed. The exhibition started from 18 October that last for 3 days. During this exhibition 6 main feature photographers of Bhopal Camera Club were honored.

DAY 1

Workshop of Food photography & styling by Kevin Fernandez & Mudra Keswani was conducted on first day exhibition. They gave room to explore composition theories with many hands-on styling sessions throughout the workshop. While Mudra has an instinctive sense and taste for simple beauty and has managed to source and curate unique items with her appreciation for simple pattern props that bring a shoot to life.

DAY 2

Two prominent photographers of group, Dr Anil Bhati, leading anesthesiologists of Bhopal and Mr. Rahil Khan, clubs coordinator were featured. Both of them shared their 8 best photographs and stories behind clicking those photos. Two workshops were also conducted on this day; the Basics of Photography workshop was taken by Dr. Anil Bhati.

While in the second session mobile photography workshop was conducted by Kshitij Patle, he said “Photography for me is not looking, its feeling. If you can’t feel what you’re looking at, then you’re never going to get others to feel anything when they look at your pictures.”

DAY 3

On the last day of exhibition, Dr. Sandeep Jain, Orthopedic expert and Varun Saxena, Wild Life Photographer was featured. They conductor a workshop on Mirrorless Camera and Photography skills and which lasted for 2 hours. At the end of the day winners of online photography competition were awarded with certificates of merit and their respective cash prizes.
